Ernesto León was born in Santiago de Chile in 1989. He is currently working as an assistant teacher in Digital Animation at Universidad Mayor university. As a director, he made three short films: ‘Silent Note’(La nota muda), ‘Years Per Second’(Años por segundo), both in 2013. These were selected in multiple festivals, such as the international festival Festival Internacional de Animación de Chilemonos, the Chilean festival Festival de cine de Lebu, and the Cuban festival named Festival de Cine de La Habana. The following year he made his third animation tape called ‘Gunpowder Roots’ (Raíces de pólvora), a story which addresses the tragic reality of the soldier children training. It was awarded ‘Best Animation’ award in Noida International Film Festival, Indian World Film Festival, Pink City International Short Festival in India, and awarded ‘Best Short Film’ award in the First Film Festival of Universidad de Santiago de Chile university. Ernesto León is currently working as director in the series ‘Black Sunday: Nexus’, and the choral short film ‘The Grey Wings ones’ (Los Alas Grises), not only as a director, but also as a scriptwriter.
